Musings Of a Housewife

I have this joke with my good friend, Valerie (or Val as she prefers to be called) when we were working in the far away land of Libya as RNs in a very busy ICU. Most days were so busy that we were on our feet for 14 to 16 hours. It is of course a different story all through out. But yes, most days were too much and when we pass by each other at some point, one of us will say she wished she’s married to a rich guy right now and just be a housewife. Fast forward 3 years later, I am now married to a wonderful guy and living in the USA.  I just finished working in a small hospital in Louisiana and after my work contract, joined my husband here in Texas. We will be moving to a bigger city in a couple of months and so in between, I would be, you guessed it, A HOUSEWIFE! Finally. First 2 weeks was making the apartment homey, there was always something to do. The clothes were hanged, pots were washed, pantry filled. Alas! I ran out of things to do. Third week is a torture, I’m starting to talk to myself. I have time to contemplate on things. Left over brownies, hmm what to do with them? aha! brownie truffles.

And that folks is how I decided to start this blog. So that maybe one day I would look back and say being a housewife is just amazing, look at what I can do with all that time.

This blog is also about food and travels. Me and the hub loves road trips, beautiful sceneries and food.

So hang tight, it is gonna be a lovely ride.
